Delta Township

Free radon test kits are available in the Engineering Division office.  The Barry-Eaton Health Department generously offered to provide us with these kits for the convenience of our local citizens.

UPDATE OF DELTA TOWNSHIP NON-MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION PLAN

A draft of the Updated Delta Township Non-Motorized Transportation Plan is now available for public review.  The Updated Plan will replace the present Non-Motorized Transportation Plan which was adopted by the Delta Township Board in 2005.  The Updated Plan refers to non-motorized projects which have been completed, identifies recent non-motorized transportation trends, reflects the public input obtained during the planning process and identifies new non-motorized projects.

A public hearing will be scheduled in the future regarding the Updated Plan. Please submit any comments you may have pertaining to the Updated Non-Motorized Transportation Plan to Mark Graham of the Township’s Community Development Department at mgraham@deltami.gov or at 7710 W. Saginaw Highway, Lansing, Michigan, 48917.

The 9^th Annual Winter Warm-Up Challenge is an 8 week free walking program open to everyone and designed to encourage regular physical activity and good nutrition with a goal to help improve the health and fitness of Mid-Michigan residents. The community that logs the most miles over the course of the Challenge will receive the Grand Prize grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield to be used toward supporting an existing public health and fitness facility or event in the community.
