*Delta Township residents must provide a photo I.D. and voter I.D. card, property tax notice, or a township water/sewer bill to participate in the Fall Yard Waste Recycling Program.

REMINDERS:  Yard waste bins are removed from the Recycling Center during winter months. Yard Waste accepted include items such as; branches no longer than four feet in length and four inches in diameter, grass clippings, brush, and twigs. Yard waste may be transported in paper bags, cardboard boxes, plastic tubs, or branches and twigs may be bundled.  With the exception of paper yard waste bags, containers are to be dumped. Township staff may not always be available to assist residents. Lawn and leaf bags are available for purchase at many local retailers. NO PLASTIC BAGS ARE PERMITTED! For more information, please contact the Clerk’s Office at 323-8500. There is a charge for this service that depends on the amount of yard waste to be disposed of which will be determined at the Recycling Center.


OTHER THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

• Must unload your own yard waste
• Unlimited number of visits permitted
• Trucks/Trailer loads must be level with sides, no deeper than 3 feet
• No trailers bigger than 6 X 10 (No Dump Trailers)
• Large bulk loads should use Granger Recycling on Wood Rd. (Fees apply)
• Services can be refused if not compliant with guidelines

Rates: $2 per 30-gallon paper bag or $8.50 / yd³

10 Pickup.....................$15 level load (1.4 yd³)
Full Size Pickup.............$25 level load (2.7 yd³)
Mini Van w/open back...$10 per foot (1 yd³)

TRAILERS

Based on Per Foot Average, Approximate Depth (compressed)
4’ x 6’ - $6.00 per foot (.9 cubic yard/foot)
4’ x 8’ - $8.00 per foot (1.2 cubic yard/foot)
5’ x 8’ - $10.00 per foot (1.5 cubic yard/foot)
6’ x 10’ - $15.00 per foot (2.2 cubic yard/foot)

The size of loads will be restricted as follows

Township Residents can drop off yard waste free of charge.
Township residents must provide a photo I.D. and voter I.D. card, property tax notice, or a township water/sewer bill to participate in the Free Yard Waste Day program free of charge.

YARD WASTE

Grass clippings, brush, branches (no longer than 4 feet long and 4 inches in diameter. YARD WASTE ACCEPTED APRIL THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER – DELTA TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ONLY.  REMINDER: Yard waste may not be brought to the site in plastic bags.  Yard waste bags or recyclable containers are best practices in transporting yard waste to the Recycling Center for disposal.

The size of loads will be restricted as follows:

• No larger than 5 feet x 8 feet or the back of a full-size pickup
• No tandem trailers or cube-type vehicles will be permitted

Fall De-Leafing

Yard waste recycling will be available to Delta Township residents free of charge during the following dates/times:
October 12 - November 30            
Wednesday: 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
