Eaton County Recycling Programs

Eaton County Department of Resource Recovery offers several different recycling opportunities to County residents, including but not limited to the following programs. See www.eatoncounty.org for recycling opportunities.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PRESCRIPTION DRUGS

Drop boxes for unused controlled substance prescription drugs ONLY, are now available in the main lobby of the Eaton County Courthouse located at 1045 Independence Blvd., Charlotte and at the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office Delta Patrol located at 7108 Administration Drive (located directly west of Delta Township Fire Department), Lansing. Drop-off is open during regular business hours, Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Drugs must be in original container with drug name visible. Patient name is NOT required.

DRUGS ACCEPTED

Pain Reliever; Vicodin, Hydrocodone, Demerol, Oxycodone & Fentanyl, Anti-Depressants; Valium, Xanax, Zoloft & Prozac, Sleep-Aids: Ambien, Lunesta & Sonata, Behavior Modification Medications:  Ritalin, Methylphenidate & Adderall Cough Medicine: with Dextromethorphan.

NOT ACCEPTED

All other prescription medications, medicated ointments & lotions, needles, syringes, lancets, epi-pens, bloody or infectious waste, OTC drugs, vitamins & supplements, thermometers & insulin & inhalers.
