2023 Public Safety Facility Bond Proposal

On the May 2 ballot, Delta Township will ask voters to consider a bond proposal for the construction of a new public safety facility and storage building for the residents of Delta Township and the nearly 40 personnel (Lieutenants, Sergeants, Detectives, Deputies, and support staff) that serve them on the Delta Patrol.

How Would This Affect Taxpayers?
If the bond proposal passes, the average residential property owner in Delta Township can expect to pay an estimated $112.18 in additional taxes per year based on an average home market value of $200,000 and a taxable value of $100,000. Delta Township has one of the lowest millage rates in the region. The Township studied the best options for a new facility for several years to bring forward a comprehensive plan for the new proposed public safety facility to house law enforcement. If passed, Delta Township would continue to have one of the
lowest local millage rates in the region.
