About the Planning Department

The Planning Department fulfills the responsibilities imposed by the Planning Enabling Act, which includes the preparation and maintenance of a Comprehensive Plan, the preparation of six-year Capital Improvements Program, and the review of public works projects. The department also fulfills the responsibilities imposed by the Zoning Enabling Act including administration of the Township’s Zoning Ordinance which includes the process of rezoning, special land use permits, site plan review requests, and zoning enforcement actions. The department serves as support staff to the Delta Township Planning Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals, and administers the Township’s Subdivision Regulations.
