Welcome to Delta Township from Chief Gregg GinebaughThe Delta Township Fire Department is comprised of 46 dedicated and highly trained professionals who serve the citizens of Delta Township and the Townships of Watertown and Eagle, through a cooperative partnership with the Looking Glass Regional Fire Authority. With this combined coverage area, the Delta Township Fire Department serves 108 square miles with a residential population over 42,000, and daytime population of nearly 100,000. The men and women of the Delta Township Fire Department respond to calls for service from three fire stations located within the townships: two in Delta Township and one in Watertown Township.
The Delta Township Fire Department continues to be a premier fire department in our region because of the integrity, dedication, and compassion of our members. Our entire team provides the highest quality cutting-edge life-safety, and professional emergency services available. The Delta Township Fire Department delivers, along with fire suppression activities, advanced emergency medical services, river rescue, hazardous materials incident response, technical rescue (which include collapse, trench, and confined space rescue), as well as public education through our Fire Prevention Bureau. Our public engagement also includes activities such as life safety inspections, public education in our schools and businesses, community CPR training, fire extinguisher training, smoke detector installation and Stop the Bleed training.
The Delta Township Fire Department has succeeded in implementing programs to answer these ever-changing challenges while at the same time, remaining focused on its core values of professionalism, integrity, compassion, innovation, strength, and enthusiasm. Training our personnel to meet these challenges will continue to be a high priority.

The Delta Township Fire Department currently has 33 Career Firefighters (3 Captains, 6 Lieutenants, 9 Engineers, and 15 Paramedic/Firefighters), 5 Administrative Staff (Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, Training/EMS Captain, Fire Inspector, and department secretary), and several Part-Time/Support Services Staff. We staff 3 fire stations 24/7 and provide definitive fire protection and emergency medical care (transporting ambulance) for our local communities as well as mutual aid our surrounding municipalities. Continually striving to provide the best care for our community, we use science and technology, in addition to our experiences, to maintain proficiency in the most effective techniques and methods. The DTFD also manages the Delta Township Emergency Operations Center for all types of disasters.
