I AM DELTA

Delta Township is truly a great place to live, work, and play. We are especially proud of our diversity and inclusive atmosphere. Our Township, most certainly, is abundant with opportunity.  Whether you are a resident of Delta, work in Delta, or are visiting, come see what Delta Township has to offer.

The “I Am Delta” campaign was created to aid in forming a cohesive sense of community and intrinsic identity for the residents, businesses, and employees of Delta Township.
What inherently makes Delta Township a great place to live, work, and play?

  • Our public safety officers and emergency responders are second to none:
Delta Township contracts 34 employees with the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office to form the Delta Patrol.  The deputies, detectives, and administrative staff of the Delta Patrol work diligently to keep our community safe.  The Delta Township Fire Department is recognized as the standard across the state of Michigan for providing superior service with quick and efficient run times and our distinguished emergency responders are among the best at identifying and treating emergent health issues.
  • We have numerous parks, recreation, and event opportunities:
The Delta Township community boasts some of the area’s most beloved events, including the DeltaRocks! Family Festival, the Annual July 3rd Fireworks, and our fall Trick-or-Treat Trail event. In addition to community events, Delta Township offers 13 parks, including the newly built Mt. Hope Park, a robust non-motorized system with trails, pathways, and bike lanes connecting several of our parks and local attractions, and is part of the Middle Grand River Heritage Water Trail with two fully handicapped accessible canoe/kayaking launches.
  • Delta Township is an inclusive community:
Here at Delta we celebrate the diversity within our community and strive to ensure that all voices are heard and included.  The Township strives for diversity in leadership ensuring all boards and commissions are representative of our community. Additionally, we are a senior-friendly community, offering programs aimed at our over-60 community through our 39’ers program and are advised by the Delta Senior Council.
  • We have some of the friendliest and most involved community members around:
From business owners to our residents we could not ask for a more supportive and involved community.  Many of our events are made possible by significant contributions in sponsorships and volunteerism of our community members.
