Yard waste bins are removed from the Recycling Center during winter months. Yard Waste accepted include items such as; branches no longer than four feet in length and four inches in diameter, grass clippings, brush, and twigs. Yard waste may be transported in paper bags, cardboard boxes, plastic tubs, or branches and twigs may be bundled. With the exception of paper yard waste bags, containers are to be dumped. Township staff may not always be available to assist residents. Lawn and leaf bags are available for purchase at many local retailers. NO PLASTIC BAGS ARE PERMITTED! There is a charge for this service that depends on the amount of yard waste to be disposed of which will be determined at Recycling Center.
Rates: $1.25 per 30 gallon paper bag or $8.50 per cubic yard.

6’ x 10’ – $15 per foot (2.2 cubic yard/foot)

Township Residents can drop off yard waste free of charge, recyclable metals, and all recyclable items accepted at the recycling center.
ITEMS ACCEPTED BUT NOT LIMITED TO DURING 2018 FREE YARD WASTE DAY:
Grass clippings, brush, branches (no longer than 4 feet long and 4 inches in diameter. YARD WASTE ACCEPTED APRIL THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER – DELTA TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ONLY. Township residents must provide a photo I.D. and voter I.D. card, property tax notice or a township water/sewer bill to participate in the Free Yard Waste Day program free of charge. REMINDER: Yard waste may not be brought to the site in plastic bags. Yard waste bags or recyclable container are best practices in transporting yard waste to the Recycling Center for disposal.

DE-LEAFING – DELTA TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ONLY – FREE – WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY ONLY
Fall Yard Waste Recycling (formerly De-Leafing) program designated for Delta Township residents only to recycle their yard waste free of charge.
The Fall Yard Waste Recycling Program will begin on Saturday, October 19 and end on Saturday, December 7. Wednesdays, from 12-6 p.m. and Saturdays, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. After the conclusion of the 2019 Fall Yard Waste Recycling Program, yard waste will not be accepted again until April 1, 2020. Delta Township residents must provide a photo I.D. and voter I.D. card, property tax notice or a township water/sewer bill to participate in the Fall Yard Waste Recycling Program.
On Tuesdays during the Fall Yard Waste Recycling Program (October 22nd – December 3rd), the recycling center will be open for regular recycling with yard waste accepted also. YARD WASTE FEES WILL APPLY ON TUESDAYS during Fall Yard Waste Recycling Program (October 22nd – December 3rd).
Yard Waste Recycling is FREE ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY ONLY during Free Yard Waste Recycling (October 19th – December 7th). The recycling center also closes at 6 p.m on Wednesdays, starting in November for winter hours.
REMINDERS: Paper bags, cardboard boxes, or plastic tubs may be used. NO PLASTIC BAGS ALLOWED! Tree limbs must not exceed four feet in length or four inches in diameter.
