Delta Township Senior Council

The goals of the Delta Township Senior Council are to seek improvement to the township through community projects and encourage education of seniors regarding township programs and amenities. The Senior Council consists of Senior Representatives, age 50 and up, who are residents of Delta Township.

Lunchtime Lectures

April 2:  The Story of Faygo – Detroit’s Beloved Soda Pop: Author Joe Grimm will share the history of Faygo
April 9:  Traveling Pure Michigan – Pure Michigan’s Director of Travel Marketing will share the top places to visit in our great state.
April 16: Michigan Industry in the 20th Century – Postcard Collector Wally Jung will share a pictographic history of Michigan Industry during the 20th Century.
April 23:  Delta Township Parks Update – Parks & Recreation Director Marcus Kirkpatrick will speak about the progress of the new Mt. Hope Park and canoe launches and what’s next for Delta Township’s park system.
April 30:  The Mighty Mac – Jacquie Sewell, author of The Mighty Mac will share stories and history of the Mackinac Bridge.

Breakfast with the Council We will meet March 12th, 2019.  For this event, our location will be Dimitris Restaurant located at 6334 W. Saginaw at 9am.
