Site Selection/Resources
- Find a site for lease or purchase
- Schedule a pre-application meeting
- Identify business resources

- Check Zoning Ordinance for compliance
- Zoning Explorer
- Determine if Site Plan Review is required
- Get development approval

- Arrange for building permits and inspections
- Discuss code compliance for the project
- Building or property alterations may require submittal of a Site Plan for review

- Schedule a fire inspection
- Ensure building and/or fire protection systems are adequate

- Determine if you business requires a sign permit. See the Sign Ordinance

- Will you business be required to pay personal property tax?

- In general, the Township has no licensing requirements beyond State of Michigan requirements.
