COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and Delta Township
Consistent with guidance from the State of Michigan, Delta Township has made the decision to extend the temporary closure of all Township facilities (including Township administrative building, Township Recycling Center, and the Delta Township District Library) to the public and cancel all public meetings/programs beginning immediately through Monday, April 13th.
- Township Hall CLOSED
- Delta Township District Library CLOSED
- Enrichment Center CLOSED
- Recycling Center CLOSED
- Township Parks and Trails OPEN. However, the Stay at Home order directs Michiganders to stay in their homes unless they’re a part of that critical infrastructure workforce, engaged in an outdoor activity, or performing tasks necessary to the health and safety of themselves or their family, like going to the hospital or grocery store. If you utilize a park or trail maintain social distancing.
- Township Parks Playground Equipment CLOSED.
The Township will continue to provide essential public services, such as police, fire, water, and sewer. Services such as utility bill payment, permit applications, and program registration can all be completed through the Township’s website (deltami.gov), by mail, or by utilizing the overnight box located on the Northside of the administration building.
Administrative and emergency management staff will continue to actively monitor, plan and communicate about this situation in the upcoming days and weeks. We want the Delta community to know that we make these decisions with the health, safety, and welfare of the community in mind. Providing basic municipal services is still our foremost goal, but we must act to prevent the community spread.
Please review the CDC website to learn steps to stop the spread of Coronavirus / COVID-19 and follow their travel advice: www.CDC.gov.

The Delta Township Senior Council was formed to enrich the lives of seniors through education and information, as well as promote involvement in local activities. Our Leadership Team provides programs on topics of interest such as our Lunchtime Lecture Series (in partnership with the Delta Township District Library) and Safety in our Community (in partnership with the DTDL and the Delta Township Parks, Recreation & Cemeteries). Through our Communications Team, we provide a newsletter with topics of interest, services offered (in conjunction with AARP and Tri-County Office on Aging) as well as community events of interest. We maintain a Facebook page to provide the latest updates in information as well as promote activities being held at the Delta Township Enrichment Center for Seniors. Monthly, we gather informally on the second Tuesday of the month at 9am at a local restaurant to socialize and offer an open format of discussion. We welcome to our Council, those who are 50+ living in Delta Township as well as the surrounding communities.
