De-Leafing Program
This annual program gives the opportunity to recycle their yard waste free of charge! De-leafing is generally held in the months of October and November. Delta residents must show two pieces of identification such as a driver's license, voter ID card, property tax notice, or water/sewer bill.
De-Junking Program
Like de-leafing, this program gives residents an annual opportunity to rid themselves of many items. The Salvation Army and/or Volunteers of America will be on site to take any reusable items. Dates are generally scheduled within the month of May, and though disposal is free, a voucher is required prior to visiting the Recycling Center. Vouchers are issued by the Clerk's Office, and will require two pieces of identification such as a driver's license, voter ID card, property tax notice or water/sewer bill.
For more information on either programs, or for any other questions pertaining to recycling, please contact the Clerk's Office at 517.323.8500.
