Park Amenities
This park is undeveloped
To visit this park you may wish to park at Hayes or Willow
Ridge school.
Lootens Park was purchased by Delta Township in April 1980
with the assistance of a grant from the Federal Land and
Water Conservation Fund in the amount of $55,500. Delta
Township provided $64,500 to purchase the original
74 acres located adjacent to Hayes Middle School of the
Grand Ledge School District. A net 10 acres was added to
the park in 1993 as a result of an Eaton County Drain Commission
project. The park originally was planned to be developed
into a community playfield serving the western when funds
can be obtained. Should this happen there will be a need
to purchase additional lands in the northwest quadrant to
compensate for the change in use for Lootens Park.
