Delta Township erected a 250-foot telecommunications tower on the north side of Administration Drive. |

Construction commenced on an 11,000 square foot addition to the Delta Township Hall at the northwest corner of the Canal/M-43 intersection. |

The Township constructed a new water tower at the Millett/I-96 intersection |
| 2002 |
The Grand Opening of Hunter’s Orchard Park was held on October 14.
-In July an occupancy permit was issued by the Building Department for the GM Stamping Plant near Davis Highway |

Geography
Delta Township is located on the west side of the greater Lansing Capital Region and is more than 35 square miles. It is located mid-way between Detroit and Grand Rapids. Access to Delta Township is easy, with entrance to three major highways; Interstates 96, I69 and I496. Capital City Airport is located just north of the Township’s borders. The Township is in close proximity of Michigan State University and is home to Lansing Community College’s West Campus.
Delta Township’s terrain is relatively flat with several beautiful parks and trails located throughout the township. Several ponds, streams, and wetlands can be found throughout the township as well.
Government
Delta Township is organized under a Township Board that consists of a part-time Supervisor, Treasurer, and four Trustees as well as a full-time Clerk. The Township Board meets on the first and third Monday of every month. All Township departments report to the Township Manager. Delta Township is well represented in the United States Congress by the Honorable Joe Schwarz (R), Carl Levin (D), and Debbie Stabenow (D).
