Book Club @ Your Library

Looking for a book club to join?

The Delta Township District Library is starting up a book club for adults! Join us the third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. for friendly book discussion and snacks that tie into the book's theme.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 17 and we are reading Barbara Kingsolver's "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle". The first five people to sign up at the Adult Services Desk will receive free copies of the book!

So pick up your copy and feel free to join in the conversation and help select our future reading choices!

Thank you to our Summer Reading sponsors!

The library’s Summer Reading Program, What’s Buzzin’ at Your Library?  was a huge success this year.  Over 1600 children, teens, and adults attended programs at the library, and over 10,000 books were read by participants this summer.

A big thank you to the Friends of the Library, who sponsor the Summer Reading Program each year.

Several local businesses also donated prizes for the program.  They include: Best Buy, Carrabba’s, Chaos Paintball, Domino’s Pizza, Edru, Family Video, Fun Tyme Adventure Park, Ice Cream Joes, McDonald’s, Meijer, NCG Eastwood Cinemas, Red Robin, Royal Scot, Steak & Shake, The Summit, Twisters, Zap Zone.Â

Introducing Playaways!

These all-in-one digital audiobooks make listening to books even more portable and simple.

Each unit comes with a set of earbuds and a AAA battery installed. You can purchase earbud covers at the CIrculation Desk for 30 cents, or you can use your own headphones from home. You can also plug a Playaway into your car, the same way you would plug in an MP3 player.

Best of all, you get the same unabridged content and sound quality that you would get listening to any audiobook, without having to keep track of multiple discs. Stop by the Adult Services desk to try our our demo model to learn more, or look for a Playaway to borrow on our New Release shelves at the front of the library, facing the lobby.
