Delta Township is located on the west side of the greater Lansing Capital Region and is more than 35 square miles in size. It is located mid-way between Detroit and Grand Rapids. Access to Delta Township is easy, with entrances to three major highways; Interstates 96, I-69, and I-496. The Capital City Airport is located just north of the Township. The Township is also within easy driving distance of Michigan State University, Lansing Community College, Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Davenport University, and is home to Lansing Community College’s West Campus, Western Michigan University's Lansing Campus, Cornerstone University Lansing Campus, and Great Lakes Christian College. Delta Township is organized as a chartered township with a board that consists of a part-time Supervisor, Treasurer, and four Trustees as well as full-time Clerk. 2008 Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Collection

Eaton County Resource Recovery

On May 9, 2008, Delta Township will host the 2008 Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Collection sponsored by the Eaton County Resource Recover.  The event will be held at the Township Administration Hall and will be by appointment only.  To schedule an appointment or ask for additional information, please call: 517-543-7500.

Delta Township Government Youth Council

The Delta Township Board has established the Delta Township Government Youth Council (DTGYC) to promote youth involvement in local government through active participation and the mutual exchange of ideas and experience. More detaisl to follow soon!

Delta Community Awards

The second annual Delta Township Community Awards Reception and 45th Anniversary Celebration, sponsored by the Delta Township Board of Trustees, was held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at the Sheraton Lansing Hotel in Delta Township.  The event recognized and celebrated the accomplishments of Delta Township citizens and businesses by awarding the Citizen of the Year, Community Enhancement, Business Partnership, Anniversary and Legacy AwardsMore information is here.

Sidewalks in Delta

Delta Township is now placing a higher priority on creating a safer pedestrian and bicycle friendly community.  Delta Township has both a Non-Motorized Transportation Plan, adopted in April, 2005, and a Sidewalk Plan, revisions adopted in 2003 and again in 2007.  Read here the Goals, Objectives, and Policies of the Delta Township Sidewalk Plan.
