2008 Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Collection
Eaton County Resource Recovery
On May 9, 2008, Delta Township will host the 2008 Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Collection sponsored by the Eaton County Resource Recover. The event will be held at the Township Administration Hall and will be by appointment only. To schedule an appointment or ask for additional information, please call: 517-543-7500.

The Delta Township Recycling Center is located at 5717 Millett Hwy.
Summer Hours: April - September
Tuesdays: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Winter Hours: October - March
Tuesdays: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Recycling Center will be closed on holidays.
Acceptable Recycling Items
- Plastic - #2 PE milk jugs, water bottles, colored plastic bottles, and #1 PETE water bottles
- Paper - colored, white office, newspaper, magazines, catalogs, brown paper bags, and corrugated cardboard.
- Tin, aluminum, and metals-tin cans must be cleaned and flattened. Stoves, dishwashers, swing sets, metal furniture, lawn mowers, and snow blowers. All appliances must b free of any fluids and caps must be removed from tanks.
- Glass - clear and brown only
- Wire and fencing must be bundled, no loose wire or fence will be accepted
- Ink cartridges - printer, fax, and copier cartridges.
Yard waste will be accepted at the Recycling Center April through mid-November. Delta residents must show two pieces of ID, such as a driver’s license and a Delta Township Voter ID card, property tax notice or water and sewer bill. There is a charge for this service, which depends on the amount of yard waste to be disposed of. Yard Waste is not accepted in plastic bags. For more information, please contact the Clerk’s Office.
Polystyrene
The recycling center is now collecting polystyrene foam. Items being accepted include egg cartons, meat and vegetable trays and large foam packing blocks that protect products like computers and TVs. Residents may also recycle foam cups, containers, and food trays. Items not accepted include packaging peanuts, insulation panels used for construction (usually pink or blue) or anything that's flame retardant.
EATON COUNTY RECYCLING PROGRAMS
Eaton County Resource Recovery offers several different recycling programs to Eaton County residents such as: Household Hazardous Waste, Scrap Tire Collection, Electronics Collection, etc. For more information on programs available or dates, times & locations call Eaton County Resource Recovery at 517-485-3417, Ext. 3686.
DE-LEAFING PROGRAM
This annual program gives residents the opportunity to recycle their yard waste, free of charge. De-leafing is generally in October and November. Delta residents must show two pieces of identification such as a driver's license, Voter I.D. card, property tax notice or water/sewer bill. For exact dates or more information, please contact the Clerk's Office.
DE-JUNKING PROGRAM
This annual program gives residents the opportunity to rid themselves of many unwanted items. Residents can also take their yard waste, free of charge. Salvation Army and/or Volunteers of America will be on site to take any reusable items. De-junking generally takes place in May of each year. Residents are required to obtain a voucher prior to going to the Recycling Center. Vouchers are issued by the Clerk's Office, which is located in the Delta Township Administration Building. Two pieces of identification will be required to obtain a voucher:such as a driver's license, Voter I.D. card, property tax notice or water/sewer bill.
