Delta Rocks! Family Festival

Sharp Park is the place to be on the 4th Saturday in June each year for all the excitement of the annual festival. The entire family will have a ball participating in the many fun activities which include clowns, pony rides, super sling shot, turtle racers, chalk art, face painting, petting zoo, rock climbing wall, Monkey Motion Quad Jumper, Runt Run Obstacle Course, Moon Walk, Turbo Slide, children’s make-it-take-it crafts, kids’ bingo, games, concessions, business expo, Pool of Penguins community art project, and lots more! Admission as well as most activities are free with only a few having a minimal charge. The festival will run from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. so plan on spending the day with us.

Delta Township Annual Fireworks Display

Join thousands of other area residents for the Independence Day celebration! A concession stand will be open for purchasing refreshments or you may bring your own picnic lunch, grill, or cooler. A permit is required for alcoholic beverages and one can be obtained at the Parks and Recreation Department at no charge. The park also has playgrounds, tennis courts, a basketball court, a recently-stocked fishing pond, and more! Every year the Township puts on a spectacular display.

Delta Township Community Awards

The Delta Township Board and the Delta Community Awards Committee sponsors the annual Delta Community Awards Reception, in which the accomplishments of Delta Township citizens and businesses are celebrated and awarded. It is also a time for those within Delta Township to come together in recognition of this proud and distinct community. Three annual awards are presented: Citizen of the Year Award, Community Enhancement Award, and Business Partnership Award.

Public Transportation

EATRAN Downtown Express -

EATRAN offers a downtown Lansing Express service with the morning busses leaving Charlotte, Grand Ledge, and Delta Township with arrival in Downtown Lansing at approximately 7:45 a.m. The Express Service Bus travels along West Saginaw Highway in Delta Township. 

The Express Service returns from Downtown Lansing between 5-5:15 p.m. An advance reservation is required and can be made by calling 517.543.3040. The fare is $3 each way.

CATA Bus Routes -

CATA bus routes 3 & 12 serve portions of Delta Township. Route 3 travels along portions of West Saginaw Highway from Waverly Road to Mall Drive South. Route 12 serves the retail stores (Value City and Home Depot) at the southwest corner of the Waverly Road/St.Joseph Hwy. intersection. 

The CATA fare is $1.25. Schedules for routes 3 and 12 are available on the CATA web site or you can call 517.394.1000

The Delta/Waverly 39ers program is an energetic and vibrant program that serves people ages 50 and over from Delta Township, Waverly School District, and surrounding areas.
