Delta Township operates two cemeteries, Delta
Center and Delta Hillside,
located on St. Joe Highway east of Canal Road, and on Delta
River Drive east of Webster Street, respectively. The two
cemeteries are professionally maintained and operated by
the Parks, Recreation and Cemeteries Department. If you
are thinking of purchasing burial space, do yourself a favor
and check our cemeteries and prices. You will find that
we offer quality at a reasonable cost. All cemetery plots
include the provision for perpetual care. Please feel free
to contact us at 323-8555 for a printed copy of our rules
and regulations or with any questions you may have.
If you would like to find out what is available, please
call us and set up an appointment with Cemetery Supervisor
John Harmon. If you are ready to purchase and already know
which plot number(s), you may go directly to the Clerk's
Office.
We share management responsibilities with
the Clerk's Office. We handle burials and ground maintenance,
foundations, and the showing of plots for purchase, while
the Clerk's Office handles the official recordkeeping, deeds,
purchases, transfers, and the like.

burial rate includes complete cemetery set up with
tent and set and seal. Above ground seal vaults
must make special arrangements for set and seal.

includes required cremain vault. Add $60 for infant

Miscellaneous Information/FAQ
Each regular plot can accommodate 1 adult burial, or 1 adult
+ 1 infant depending on dimensions (generally under 2'-6"),
1 adult + 1 cremation, 2 children, or 4 cremations. Restrictions
apply, please contact John Harmon for information on what
your plot can accommodate.
If there is more than one burial on a plot, you may have
more than one marker. The main marker will always be placed
on the west, and any additional markers must be flush with
the ground. Headstones are always placed above the head,
and the head is always placed at the west end. The text
can read from whichever direction you prefer.
Flowers must be removed after the first
frost. Silk flowers are permitted from November 1 to March
15.
Foundations are poured until it becomes
cold and the water lines are flushed.
When selecting a plot to purchase, you
may choose from within the section currently being developed.
We do not sell plots across the whole cemetery but rather
section by section.
