Fire Prevention Open House
The week of October 4-10, 2009 is Fire Prevention Week. The theme for this year is “It’s Fire Prevention Week-Stay Fire Smart! don’t get Burned!” In conjunction with the Fire Prevention Week, the Delta Township Fire Department will be hosting its annual Open House from 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, at the Central Fire Station located at 811 North Canal Road. Fire personnel will be on hand to explain equipment and answer fire safety questions. Some of the scheduled events include:
- Fire trucks and ambulances, along with their equipment
- A real fire hose for children to spray
- Family fire safety house
- Eaton County Central Dispatch with working “911″ phone system
- Free blood pressure clinic
- Free helium balloons
- Helicopter ambulance on display
- Capital Area Safe Kids Coalition
- Fire prevention and safety brochures
- Refreshments
